In modern fleet management, cameras play a key role in increasing safety, optimizing operations, and protecting vehicles and drivers. The PratiMe system uses advanced cameras to record and track events in real time, giving you full control over your fleet and reducing operational risk. Camera solutions help prevent accidents, reduce insurance costs, and provide video evidence in the case of disputes.
Fleet cameras can be mounted on different parts of a vehicle and used in a variety of scenarios. The PratiMe system uses the following types of cameras:
- Front camera (dash cam) - Records the road ahead of the vehicle, logs all key events, and serves as evidence in the event of traffic accidents.
- Interior cabin camera - Enables monitoring inside the vehicle cabin, which is useful for protecting drivers and preventing misuse.
- Side cameras - Eliminate blind spots and improve visibility when changing lanes or parking.
- Rear camera - Provides better control when reversing and prevents accidents while maneuvering.
- Cargo area camera - Tracks the condition of the cargo during transport and ensures its safety.
These cameras enable precise tracking of every aspect of vehicle and driver operation, increasing both safety and business efficiency.
Automatic Recording and Event Detection
PratiMe cameras do not just record video, they also automatically detect and log key events on the road. Equipped with advanced algorithms, the cameras can recognize hard braking, collisions, improper maneuvers, and other risky situations. This data is stored automatically and can be used for analysis and driver training.
Benefits of automatic recording and detection:
- Continuous recording of all relevant events on the road.
- Automatic detection of collisions and other critical situations.
- Quick access to video evidence in the event of an accident.
Remote Access to In-Vehicle Cameras
The PratiMe system provides real-time remote access to cameras, giving fleet managers insight into what is happening in the field. No matter where a vehicle is, you can watch live footage, analyze situations, and make timely decisions.
Key features of real-time vehicle monitoring:
- Remote access to cameras via the app or web platform.
- Ability to adjust streaming quality depending on network conditions.
- Automatic notifications in the event of unusual occurrences.
Reducing Costs and Increasing Safety
Using cameras in your fleet can significantly reduce operating costs and improve safety for everyone on the road. Video footage helps resolve disputes with insurance companies, prevent fraud, and optimize driving habits.
Benefits of using cameras in your fleet:
- Increased safety for drivers and vehicles.
- Lower insurance costs thanks to reliable video evidence.
- Prevention of misuse and unauthorized use of vehicles.
- Improved driver behavior through analysis of recorded data.
Integration with the PratiMe Platform
PratiMe system makes it easy to integrate cameras with GPS tracking, giving you comprehensive insight into vehicle operation. All video recordings and data can be archived, analyzed, and used to optimize your business.
Key integration features:
- Synchronization of video recordings with the vehicle's GPS location.
- Viewing and downloading recordings directly from the platform.
- Advanced analytics and reports to improve efficiency.

How many cameras, how they record and how long footage is kept
The configuration is built per vehicle, from one to eight cameras. A single camera facing the road covers the basic need: a record of what happened in an accident. The cab, the sides, the rear and the cargo area are added depending on what you want to see, for example driver behaviour, parking manoeuvres, loading and unloading, or the area around the fuel tank.
The cameras record continuously, at night too, so there are no gaps in the footage even on long night drives. Recording history is kept for seven days or longer, depending on the agreed package, and the live stream is available at any moment on a computer or a phone. Footage and GPS device data sit in the same platform.
